Katrina and family, I worked with your Dad when Rebecca was born. He was SO HAPPY that his baby was having a baby :)

At the time we were both new to Optum and he was always so generous with his time and talent. I’m grateful he was part of my career journey.

“People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. They will always remember how you made them feel” (Maya Angelou)

Your Dad was a great man who cared about doing a great job and always helping others along the way.

I’m sorry I just learned of his passing. But grief has no timetable and I am sure you still miss him. Sending all my love to you and your family. ❤️

We just heard today about Axel (June 16). We are both in tears. Axel was a frequent visitor to our porch, we have known him since early Perkin Elmer/Concurrent days. For over 30 years we remained in touch, we were good friends, went thru Hurricane Sandy together, but when he moved to South NJ to be near his daughter, we hadn’t heard from him as frequently. The most important thing to him was his daughter, and his grandchild. He loved them SO much, always talked about them, and showed us many photos. We were wondering why he hasn’t been in touch and sadly, we heard the news today. Please accept our late condolences. Axel was a good friend, and will continue to be missed. Love to all, and we are so sorry for your loss.

We are devastated to learn, just now, of Axel’s passing. He was a dear friend of EVERYONE at my office. I remember his inital call to become a patient. He was a great man and we are so sorry!!! We’ll sincerely miss you friend!

Katrina, please accept our sincere condolences for the loss of your father. We didn't know Axel really well, but well enough to know that he truly loved and cherished you. We could see it each time we met at a family gathering. May God help guide you thru this sorrowful time giving you the strength to go on each day.
With much love, Aunt Sue, Fred and Mom-Mom

There are so many memories. We began as neighbors and became friends. Axel's wife, Ann, watched my son and she and Axel became Aunt Ann and Uncle Axel - that was 30 years ago. Life may have taken us in different directions over the years, but we did manage to catch up from time to time. I know how much he loved his daughter and her husband and their beautiful children. Rest in peace my friend, tell Ann hello please.
