Gail R. Yankauskas, 75, Loving Wife, Mother and Proud Grandmother passed away Thursday, November 10 after a long battle with an illness. Gail graduated from Montclair State University with a teaching degree and for many years taught in the Florham Park and Union Twp. school systems. Born in Vailsburg, Newark, she raised her children in Union for 28 years before moving to Forked River in 1995. Gail is survived by her husband, Joe, with whom she recently celebrated 51 years of marriage; Her loving children, Joe Jr. and his wife, Alice, Amy King and her husband Andy along with a brother Roger Raftery;  also four beloved grandchildren, Ryan and Jessica King, and Kayla and Alexa Yankauskas.  She will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate to know her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13 from 2-6pm at Layton’s Home For Funerals, Forked River. A 10 am funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at the Church of Saint Pius X, Forked River.
