John C. Ruggieri, age 89, of Waretown, died Wednesday at home.

Born in Hoboken, NJ living in Marlboro, NJ before moving to Waretown fourteen years ago. He was a member of the Men’s Club of Greenbrier and the Italian-American Club of Manahawkin.

Mr. Ruggieri was an Army Veteran of World War II.

He was predeceased by his grand-daughter Nichole Soto in May of 2016.

Surviving his wife of 59 years Rose Marie, his two sons John and his wife Christi of Huntington, Long Island, NY and Raymond of Laurence Harbor, NJ; three grandchildren Jordan Michele, Chaz and Michael.
