Robert, most commonly called Bob or Mo-Man, passed away on July 16, 2017, at the age of 79.  Robert was at home with his beloved wife, Mary and daughter, Jaclyn, when he was called to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Page (Rutledge); his daughter, Jaclyn Potochar (Page); son-in-law, Mike Potochar; and grandchildren, Rachel and Kayla Potochar;

Robert is predeceased by his parents, Dominick and Helen (Maturkanish) Page; his brothers, John, Richard, Michael, Frank, and William, and sister Florence Centanni (Page).

Robert was born in Newark, NJ, and was married and lived in Kearny for 15 years.  In 1989, he moved his family to Forked River, NJ.  Robert worked as a manager in the corporate oil industry for 40 years, specifically for Exxon and Amerada Hess Corporations.  He spent his final years working part-time with his “Wawa Family” and enjoyed interacting with his customers.

Robert was a devout Catholic and parishioner at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Forked River.  He was known as the “Forked River Farmer” by his friends and family as he passionately tended to his vegetable garden, especially his tomatoes.  Robert cherished spending holidays with family and visiting the Monmouth Park Racetrack.  He also loved the Miami Dolphins, eating seafood, collecting Hess trucks and Haskell hats, playing cards with family, watching National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, dancing to the song “Shout,” drinking his Natural Light beer, and his cat, Jeter.  Robert had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest, filled with laughter and fun.  He loved his family more than anything and taught them the meaning of “Family First.”
