Virginia Grace Kuss Plesnarski, 89, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at Hampton Ridge Rehab. Born in Jersey City, Virginia met Paul Plesnarski while employed as a waitress in a Soda Shop in Jersey City. They were wed for almost 65 years until Paul’s death in 2015.
Virginia was very spiritual and involved with the Church of Saint Pius X, their Rosary Altar Society as well as a volunteer for Hospice for over 15 years, Interfaith Ministry and Birthright. Virginia loved cooking, knitting and painting. She worked as an executive secretary until her retirement at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Station. She is remembered by her friends and family as a spiritual, kind and caring woman, friend, mom and grandmother.
She is survived by her three daughters, Debbie and Steven Krol, Kathy and Mark Scagliuso, and Barbara Bristol; five grandchildren and a step granddaughter; Jessica Spinelli, Gregory Krol, Danielle Scagliuso, Emily Bristol, Joshua Bristol and Rebecca Bristol.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 11am Tuesday at Layton's Home For Funerals, (609) 971-6800, 250 W. Lacey Road, Forked River, Lacey. Relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Church of Saint Pius X, Forked River, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Private family burial will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Township. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Virginia would be appreciated to either the Serenity Hospice Care of Bordentown, Church of Saint Pius X, Forked River or the Wounded War Veterans.
