Jane Lorton

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Jane L. Lorton at home on January 15, 2019.

 Jane was born in Plainfield, New Jersey on October 24,1929. The love of her life was Jack and they were first introduced to each other in grade school. After her graduation from Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing, they married June 10, 1950. They lived in Berkeley Heights before moving to Forked River in 1966.

Jane's love for art allowed her to dabble in oils, charcoal and watercolors. She was a parishioner of St Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Forked River.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband John R. Lorton, Jr. on September 4th, 2004 and her son in-law Stephen A. Hutler on July 18, 2008.

 Surviving are her children, Cathy Lorton Baran and James Baran, Kurt John Lorton and Tina Eno Lorton, Elizabeth Lorton Hutler, Suzanne Lorton Fay, William J. Fay and John R. Lorton III, of Forked River and her 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
