Karen M Devery

Karen M. Devery 72, a talented beautician, loving sister, aunt, friend and life-long resident of Forked River, passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2019.  She was in the comforting presence of her family at the Community Medical Center.

 Born in East Orange and raised in Forked River, graduating from Central Regional High School. Karen followed her passion attending and then teaching for Wilfred Beauty Academy.

Business owner, entrepreneur, and licensed professional, she built “Karen’s Beautique” from the ground up with the help of her late father and family. Karen’s shop had been a part of the community for over 50 years where she loved and cared for her customers like family.

Her nurturing and bright spirit will be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.

Karen was predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Mary Pezza.

She survived by her sister, Renee Zebrowski; brothers Nicholas, Paul and wife Joanne Pezza; nephews and nieces Michael Zebrowski and wife Elise, Lorena Zebrowski, Jack Pezza and wife Marylou, Joseph Pezza and wife Christine, Cassie and Allie Pezza; as well her beloved great nephews and nieces.
