Louis D Ferdinando

Louis D. Ferdinando, age 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27th surrounded by family.  Louis, who was affectionately called Lou, was born on September 10, 1931 in Newark, NJ to Peter and Mary Ferdinando and was brother to Peter Ferdinando (deceased), Betty Russo, and Sarah Leondardis.  Brother-in-law to Diana Aklan and Barbara Warnock.  He married Joan Warnock of Bayonne on August 16, 1958, raised a family in Elizabeth, and later moved to Forked River.
Beloved husband of Joan and father to Kathleen Risberg, Diane Pontoriero, William Ferdinando and Eileen Villar.  Father-in-law to Mark Risberg, Jose Pontoriero, Lisa Ferdinando and George Villar.  Grandfather to Joseph, Betty, Jennifer, Kevin, Kristen, Matthew, Michael, Christopher, Courtney, William, Ashlyn, Evelyn and Jack.  Great-grandfather to Tyler, Timothy, Tyler, Andrew and Cooper.
Lou worked at Western Electric, later Lucent Technologies, as a department chief in Engineering for 36 years retiring in 1985.
While employed, he was an active member of the Rotary on behalf of the company as well as serving on many special projects during his tenure.  He was active in multiple bowling leagues and St. Genevieve's Parish before relocating to Forked River.   Lou was a member of the Forked River Elks and enjoyed going to Bingo.
Lou was a loving husband, devoted family man and loved by all.  He will truly be missed.
