Nicholas Ahel, 76, of Forked River passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.
Nicholas was born in Omisalj, Croatia coming to the United States in 1959 at the age of 16.
He lived in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island and Brick, NJ before moving to Forked River five years ago.
Nicholas was an electrical engineer who owned High Rise Electric together with his business partner, Barry Halpern.
Nicholas was predeceased by his first wife Margaret who passed in 1984 and was the mother of his two daughters, Maryellen and Frances. He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Nella, and their children with spouses Maryellen and Edward Bielic, Frances and Marino Lovric, Egon and Laura Kardum, Karmen and Stephen Fields; their 11 grandchildren Tara and her husband Jeremy, Stephen, Christopher, Maggie, Justyn, Elizabeth, Julian, Sophia, Anthony, Amelia and Arianna and his brothers and sisters-in-law with family.
