Thomas G. Howarth, age 85, passed away on May 3, 2017 at home.  He was born in Newark, NJ to Frank Howarth and Clara (Reinforth) Howarth.  Before moving to Forked River in the year 2000, Thomas lived in Cranford and Middletown, New Jersey.  Thomas was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War; very active in the Pheasant Run Community, where he was on the sprinkler committee and was a parishioner at the Church of Saint Pius X.

He retired in 1994 as a Maintenance Superintendent for the Garden State Parkway Authority.

Surviving is his wife of 58 years Lois (VanVolkom); six children and spouses, Katherine and William Roe, Christopher and Vanessa Howarth, Paul and Gina Howarth, Edward and Melody Howarth, David and Bernadette Howarth, and Thomas Howarth and Cindi Pape; 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and his brother Richard and his wife Ann
