Henry L Meyer

Henry L. Meyer, born on January 29, 1940, passed away peacefully at Community Medical Center in Toms River, New Jersey, leaving behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and unwavering love.

Born in Paterson and raised in Prospect Park and later Pequannock, New Jersey, Henry devoted his life to family, service, and community. He proudly served two years in the U.S. Army as an Artillery Surveyor before beginning a distinguished 26-year career with the New Jersey State Police (Badge #1756). He later continued his public service with the Department of Environmental Protection, the Board of Public Utilities, and ultimately retired as Deputy Director of the New Jersey Lottery.

Henry's greatest accomplishment was the beautiful life he shared with his beloved wife, Patricia. For 65 wonderful years they built a marriage filled with faith, laughter, devotion, and unconditional love. Together they created a close-knit family that became the center of his world and the source of his greatest joy.

He was the cherished father of David, Steven, Victoria, and Greg Meyer; the proud grandfather of Kierstyn, Elijah, Holly, and Naomi; and the adoring great-grandfather of Brody, with another great-granddaughter expected soon. He also treasured his extended family, including his brother Walter and sister-in-law Beverly Meyer, their children Jennifer, Laurie, and Michael, and their many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Henry embraced life with enthusiasm. Whether running, playing racquetball, or riding his beloved Harley-Davidson, he lived each day with adventure and purpose. As a co-founder of the New Jersey Motorcycle Cruisers (NJMC), he helped grow a small gathering of family and friends into a thriving community of more than 20,000 members, creating lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories through countless rides and trips.

More than anything, Henry loved bringing his family together. His happiest moments were spent surrounded by the people he loved. He was the steady foundation of his family—offering wisdom, quiet strength, encouragement, and unconditional love. His warm smile, generous heart, and gentle presence made everyone around him feel safe, valued, and loved.

Although his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his spirit lives on in every lesson he taught, every memory he created, and every life he touched. His love will continue to guide his family for generations to come. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered with gratitude by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
