Jean Coale, a longtime resident of Forked River, New Jersey left us peacefully on November 4, 2020 after a long struggle with breast cancer. She was born in Hickory, North Carolina on August 17, 1945. She was married to the love of her life, Michael John Coale since February, 1965.
Jean was a retiree from the Ocean County Planning Board in Toms River, where she worked for over 20 years. She was active in supporting and volunteering her time with various veterans’ organizations and activities. She was a Sunday school teacher and girl scout leader for many years. Jean loved to garden and grew beautiful flowers and vegetables. Jean was an avid traveler, including many destinations around the world and at least 50 cruises she took with her husband.
Jean is survived by her Son, Timothy Michael Coale and his wife, Liane Coale; her daughter, Kristen Lee Coale Marcus and her husband, Robert Marcus
Her grandchildren, Jules and Ariel Sciamana; Maggie Lee and Michael Raymond Marcus. Her sister’s Dixie Gonzalez, Teresa Gormley, Dana Kelley and her husband Richard. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and one great grandniece.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, Mildred and Jerry Little.
Jean was a wonderful, friend, grandmother, mother and Spouse who was always full of life and energy. She was kind, caring and loving to all. Jean walked through her life with grace. She will be with us always, sending everyone oceans of love.
