Kenneth Freiwald Obituary

 

Kenneth James Freiwald, 69, of Waretown, passed away on February 17, 2020 after a long illness.  He was born on March 20, 1950 in Elizabeth, NJ and lived in Piscataway, NJ until joining the US Navy, serving proudly as a cryptologist during the Vietnam and Cold War eras.

He is predeceased by his parents; Richard and Marie, and two sons; Joseph and Daniel. He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Lois (nee) Ranaudo; His daughter, Aimee and stepchildren; Robert Miller and his wife Lori, Jeff Miller and his wife Zsuzsi and Danielle Grigg.  Ken’s grandchildren include Morgan, Owen, Preston, Rylan, Jared, Samantha Miller and James Grigg. Along with two great-grandchildren; Anthony and Ian LeRose. Ken’s siblings include Dennis Freiwald, Kathleen Marcaly and her husband Bill, Patricia McNulty, and Richard Freiwald and his wife Andrea. And many nieces and nephews.

 Ken was employed by Local 32 Heat and Frost Insulators and the Township of Ocean.  He was well known for his ability to “fix anything.” He loved restoring Volkswagens. Ken also obtained his boat captains license and fished oceans, lakes and rivers.  I am who I am- AR-dit-dit.
