Regina “Jean” Kelly Zieser, 90, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, and has been reunited with her beloved sisters Teresa Munn and Mary Brehony, brother James Kelly, and best friend of 85 years Gerri Jaekel. Born and raised in the Vailsburg section of Newark, NJ, she moved to Bayville nearly 40 years ago. She worked at Seton Hall University and Central Regional High School as a beloved "lunch lady" for a combined 50 years.
Jean was the matriarch of the expansive Zieser/Kelly Clan, the center of every party, and an inspiration to all who knew her. Always the first at a gathering and the last to leave, she truly lit up the room. Jean lived every moment of her life to the fullest, and always encouraged those around her to do the same.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Arthur R. Zieser, Sr., her sons Arthur Jr (Janet), Daniel (Antoinette), and Richard, grandchildren Tim (Jen), Scott (Alicia); Caitlyn (Brian) Lafera; Colleen, Kristin, Dan (Kelley); Michael (Kenzy); Nicole; Ricky; Ryan; and Kazuki Io), seven great grandchildren, her brother Dr. Peter Kelly (Leah), Sisters-in-law Mary Gallagher and Lucille Deglman, and a large extended family that continuously surrounded her.
